Claranet strikes strategic collaboration agreement with AWS
Centre of Excellence aims to accelerate the transformation of companies to the cloud

Cloud services provider Claranet has announced a new strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), designed to support its customers’ cloud migration projects.
As part of the initiative, the firm is planning to create a new Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE), which will involve the additional certification of more than 1,200 cloud experts.
The aim is to accelerate cloud adoption for customers wishing to make a strategic move to AWS Cloud, with Claranet to provide new services built on the platform to aid competitiveness.
The five-year agreement covers France, the UK, Brazil, Italy, Spain, and Portugal and builds upon a long-standing relationship between Claranet and AWS.
“We are delighted with this strategic agreement which marks a new stage in our collaboration with AWS,” commented Charles Nasser, CEO and founder of Claranet Group. “Our specialists have been supporting organisations for over ten years in their journey to the AWS Cloud.”
Customers will be able to leverage Claranet’s end-to-end support and tailored approach to migration, from planning and deployment to maintenance – including its FinOps optimised services.
“With this agreement, Claranet and AWS are working together to help customers realise the full promise of the cloud: enhanced innovation, joint investment in new products and services, and enhanced capabilities that will enable our customers around the world to accelerate and simplify their cloud transformation,” Nasser added.

The pair say the collaboration will allow businesses to benefit from a model that is adapted to their specific needs, as well as access support in the deployment of applications in native, serverless, or containerised cloud environments.
It also aims to enable swifter deployment of applications at scale, all while optimising the budget allocated to traditional IT solutions.
“We are delighted to strengthen our collaboration with Claranet, which combines a robust services platform with experienced cloud experts who can help companies successfully migrate their applications to AWS,” said Vittorio Sanvito, Director of EMEA Partner Development Organization at AWS.
“The extensive programme under our agreement will accelerate our relationship and enable Claranet to be even closer to customers' needs and specific local challenges."
