Wipro teams with IBM to develop hybrid cloud offering
Alliance will help businesses manage and transform critical workloads and applications
IT services provider Wipro has teamed up with tech giant IBM in a move it says will create a "seamless and secure" hybrid cloud journey for both enterprise and startup customers.
The new alliance will see Wipro develop hybrid cloud offerings that will help businesses migrate, manage and transform critical workloads and applications, with security across public or private cloud, as well as on-premise IT environments.
The partnership will be headquartered at the new Wipro IBM Novus Lounge dedicated innovation centre, located at Wipro’s Kodathi campus in Bengaluru.
The provider says the hub will enable a comprehensive suite of solutions that leverage cloud, AI, machine learning and the Internet of Things to help enterprises, developers and startups drive innovation.
"Wipro empowers customers across industries to re-imagine their cloud journey with its business-first strategy and industrialised solutions approach," commented Ramesh Nagarajan, SVP of Cloud Services at Wipro.
"Wipro IBM Novus Lounge will allow us to showcase hybrid multi-cloud and open source solutions even more comprehensively and support our customers’ continuous business transformation journey."
The collaboration will offer customers remote access to IBM and Red Hat solutions, which have been designed to help them scale their tech investments for improved experience and business agility with connected insights.

"Wipro IBM Novus Lounge brings together Wipro's expertise across industries and IBM’s open source technologies, designed to be secure and scalable across hybrid cloud, data and AI, all running on Red Hat OpenShift promoting the journey to Cloud and journey to AI."
