Badly thought through programmes or rushed implementation deliver yet another source of noise...

The measure of value is in the value other get from the pool of information or contribution from their colleagues that is sourced from such applications. Don't try to boil the ocean. Start small and focussed. Deliver value on a high profile project or area then as needed roll out. It may not be of use everywhere in an organisation.

Applications will be merged into ERP or desktop suites.
What will successful corporate collaboration and communication looks like five or 10 years from now?
Mail and messaging, in some organisations alongside more formal knowledge management apps will morph into tools alongside document management.
