Streetbees to create the 'worlds largest' human behaviour data store
The company will collect the data from its app users to give businesses a better idea of how to approach customers
Data intelligence firm Streetbees has announced that it's developing the world's largest human behaviour data store. Collating information from more than a million worldwide users, the company plans on using the insights to help businesses understand more about the customers buying their products.
The data will be provided by Streetbees' team of users (or "bees"), who use the app to share information about their lives using videos, photos and text. This data will be analysed through natural language processing and machine learning, providing customer insights to the company's high-profile clients.
"Our mission at Streetbees is to make human data accessible, anywhere in the world," Tugce Bulut, founder and CEO of Streetbees, said.
"To that end, we are now building a knowledge system of human behaviour, which will, in time, hold even more information about how we behave than Facebook or Google."
To complement the creation of this data super tool, Streetbees has also recruited a new CTO to help drive the idea forward. Sam Lowe has been working with AI technologies for the last 20 years, including at symptom checker and health assistant Your.MD. Before that, he was at Matches Fashion, and has also held roles at Hive and Capgemini.
Lowe will play a big part in leading the human behaviour project, including R&D in natural language processing, understanding and identifying trends in the data being collected.
"This is an incredible opportunity to build a truly innovative tech platform, growing the data set created together with our users, ensuring it is statistically valid and protected from the biases that blight many sources, and building a machine understanding that can dynamically and continuously interpret and draw insights from it," Lowe said.
