Samsung raises $2m for European breast cancer charities

Samsung has raised US$2m through its Breast Cancer Charity initiatives across Europe this year. To celebrate, the vendor hosted a Pink Ribbon High Tea at Westfields London this week where it presented a cheque to ambassadors from Breast Cancer Charities across Europe.

Entertainment for the VIP guests at the Samsung Pink Ribbon High Tea included a silent auction, a Tree of Life and a live performance from Katherine Jenkins.

Katherine Jenkins, the word famous mezzo-soprano and the first female artist to have two number ones albums in the same year, is a keen advocate of breast cancer awareness and commented: “Breast cancer touches women of all ages and it is vital that as many people as possible are encouraged to help fight the disease. The work that breast cancer charities do is crucial to raise awareness and I am an active supporter of these initiatives.”

Guests at the specially created Pink Ribbon High Tea included Mel B, Vanessa Feltz, Beverley Knight, Jamelia and Camilla Rutherford.
