Acquisition sign

TDAzlan, the enterprise division business of Tech Data, has signed an agreement with QLogic (NASDAQ: QLGC) to distribute the company’s Ethernet, Fibre Channel and InfiniBand data and storage networking solutions to VARs throughout the UK.

Commenting on the agreement, Mark Walker, director, Converged Infrastructure for TDAzlan UK, says: “The addition of QLogic brings new opportunities to partners who are looking to extend their datacentre capabilities based on technologies at the forefront of networking technology innovation. It enables us to offer QLogic’s advanced storage technologies as part of the complete converged infrastructure value proposition that we are building and taking to market.

“We are making significant investments to bring together best-in-class technologies from leading vendors backed by deep knowledge from experienced Azlan experts, and additionally offering resellers a range of tailored services to complement their own knowledge, resources and skills.”

“Azlan has a strong presence in the networking market that will give resellers more choices for sourcing QLogic products. As we look to expand our presence and achieve greater market penetration, we expect Azlan will help us to meet our objectives with channel partners here,” adds Franco Mezzullo, VP EMEA for QLogic.
