D-Link reorganises partner programme

D-Link has upgraded its partner programme to offer the channel upfront discounts and rebates. It says this would allow VARs to compete better in the market “no matter the level they are at”.

Its Value in Partnership+ (VIP+) offers three tiers for partners: Registered, Silver and Gold. All channel partners will get access to D-Link’s marketing and sales resources as well as contact with dedicated UK pre-sales, logistics, services and support.

It says its Gold level partners would benefit from an increased discount and for Silver and Gold partners there will be a formalised rebate and MDF funds that can be accessed after a development plan has been compiled.

The networking infrastructure firm says that for the first time, registered partners will obtain an upfront discount direct from D-Link’s authorised distributors at point of purchase. Alongside these changes, the introduction of promotions exclusively for VIP+ partners from May has taken place.

The VIP+ Programme is accessed through D-Link’s partner portal. It adds that this is designed with resellers of D-Link’s business products in mind. It also includes a bandwidth calculator, IP surveillance planner, and product selector.

This is in addition to NFR initiatives such as the demo purchase programme, offering resellers the chance to save up to 50 percent off SRP on every product in D-link’s portfolio for demonstration purposes. Its deal registration programme is aimed at protecting opportunities that resellers are working on, offering up to 17 percent additional margin. And with the current promotional period public sector discount of six percent resellers can earn up to 23 percent margin on projects into these verticals.

Andrew Mulholland, business solutions and marketing manager at D-Link UKI, says that the firm is formalising rebate rewards as well as development funding to help partners drive more demand for business solution sets.

“New up-front discounts have been introduced for all VIP+ partners, demonstrating our commitment to helping them grow their business. It’s our way of rewarding our partners for the time and investment they have put in to winning new business opportunities and focusing on D-Link’s product portfolio,” he adds.
