Wireless network vendor Meru Networks has appointed Westcon Group as a distributor in the UK.
As part of the agreement, Westcon will provide value-added services to Meru’s technology range, which includes which includes Access Points, Controllers, System Director OS and its E(z)RF Application Suite. It will also target key verticals such as education, healthcare, retail, hospitality and logistics.
Westcon has also been granted Authorised Training Partner status, while Meru will participate in Westcon’s ConvergencePoint Programme.
The 802.11n vendor says it views the move as a milestone in its channel activities in the UK, and will bolster its position against other vendors such as Cisco and Aruba.
