Tintri “in position for growth”

Storage vendor Tintri has spoken about the “key role” EMEA distributor Arrow ECS plays in its channel plans.

Arrow, which joined existing Tintri distie Zycko earlier in the year, now offers the vendor’s entire product portfolio in 29 countries across the region.

The Californian firm, which provides flash-based storage for virtualised and cloud environments, debuted its first tiered global channel programme in April 2014.

Sally Reade, EMEA channel manager at Tintri, says Arrow’s appointment is in line with its channel expansion strategy it set out for the year.

“Tintri is now in a great position to build a solid basis for long term growth,” she comments. “With our expanded Channel Partner programme, we believe we now have put all the key elements in place to further build our strong sales channel and help businesses across Europe to improve storage efficiencies in their virtualised environments.”

Jesper Trolle, vice president sales at Arrow ECS EMEA says the collaboration shows great potential for both organisations. “Adding Tintri which delivers a smart storage with VM-level operation to our portfolio promises to provide our customers with a full smart storage solution ensuring growth for both companies throughout EMEA,” he comments.

At the time of its programme launch Tintri claimed it was approaching 100 percent channel sales, and recording triple digital growth worldwide.

The vendor was founded by in 2008 Dr. Kieran Harty, who formerly led development at VMware as executive vice president of engineering. In January of this year the firm announced former EMC Isilon chief Doug Rich as its VP for Europe – and a month later named EMC and Whiptail exec Sally Reade as its EMEA channel manager to help recruit partners across the region.
