NetApp has announced Nick Thurlow as its new senior sales advisor and UK&I MD, with his main priorities working with partners to boost sales, while also increasing operational efficiencies.

He will help partners excel, working with them to address customer needs in one of NetApp's most profitable regions. He will do this by helping to promote the third-platform space within the company's partner network to drive awareness.

He also aims to grow the company's market share within the flash, cloud and Data Fabric portfolio, helping grow NetApp's vertical market solutions.

“With his vast industry experience, inside and outside the company, including leading a NetApp distribution partner, Nick Thurlow is the right person to drive further success in the UK and Ireland,” said Alexander Wallner, NetApp senior vice president and general manager for EMEA. “This is an important market for our future growth, and we welcome Nick back to NetApp as a powerful advocate for our customers and partners.”

Thurlow joined NetApp from Arrow ECS, where he served as vice president for the UK, Ireland and Benelux. Before working at Arrow ECS, he worked in numerous leadership roles for NetApp including EMEA sales and EMEA channel business lead, where he became accustomed to the company's customer and partner ecosystem, which will serve him well in his new position.

“I am delighted to be rejoining the fantastic team at NetApp," Thurlow said. "The data management market is undergoing rapid transformation, both on the technology and business side. NetApp, with its compelling portfolio, expertise and vibrant partner network, is in pole position to lead change in the hybrid cloud era.”
