Unitrends has announced former McAfee EMEA president Mike Dalton has taken up the new role of SVP of worldwide channels and international field operations at the vendor.
Prior to joining Unitrends, the British exec was MD of consultancy Topline Business Development, where he helped organisations including Rackspace, Symantec and AuthenWare recruit channel partners, train channel specialists and build country-specific channel programmes. Prior to this, Dalton spent more than 10 years with McAfee in various sales, channel and business development roles, including five years as president of the company’s EMEA business.
The vendor says the appointment supports its global strategy for growth, built upon Unitrends’ hybrid cloud data protection portfolio.
Last month Unitrends announced a new president and CEO, Kevin Weiss, who explains “Mike is a skilled leader with a proven track record of delivering and implementing successful channel programmes and recruiting channel partners to drive revenue growth. I’m confident that he’ll make an immediate impact on our 2015 mission to rapidly expand worldwide channel and international operations.”

There’s been no change with the rest of the sales exec line-up with James Legg remaining as EVP worldwide field operations* and Bob Gagnon as VP of channel sales at the company.
