Damovo launches Cisco cloud-based UC
Damovo to deliver on-demand voice applications, collaboration tools and mobile capabilities

Damovo UK has today unveiled a ‘Collaboration as a Service’ (CaaS) offering to provide midmarket firms with on-demand access to Cisco’s unified communications (UC) and collaboration applications.
Damovo CaaS is a suite of hosted communications applications that organisations can tailor to meet their business needs.
“Due to the potential flexibility and cost savings it offers, we see more organisations looking for services from the cloud to replace their existing communications infrastructures that are at or reaching end of life,” says Damovo UK’s MD, Simon Payne, MD.
“Research we carried out last year revealed that nearly three-quarters of organisations said they would be more likely to embrace unified communications technology if they were able to provide it via a managed cloud.”
The firm argues that the latest voice applications can reduce PBX costs by up to 30 percent, while fixed-mobile convergence capabilities can enable organisations to extend business features to any mobile handset.
Damovo CaaS has Cisco’s Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) at the core. It’s one of a handful of service providers to currently offer it to midmarket organisations, enabling access to Cisco’s UC product portfolio of voice, video, presence, contact centre, collaboration and conferencing products.
