Dimension Data broadens cloud-based UC service
Dimension Data adds Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution to UC portfolio

Dimension Data is expanding its cloud-based Unified Communications (UC) services to include Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS).
Cisco HCS-based services will be delivered globally as part of Dimension Data’s portfolio of public, private and hybrid cloud services and is another step towards continuing to reduce the complexity, costs and management of UC deployment and maintenance.
Dimension Data’s Managed Cloud Platform (MCP) has already achieved the Global Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification, and the addition of Cisco HCS is designed to complement the company’s existing UC services for voice, pervasive voice, contact centre, instant messaging and presence.
The cloud unified communication offerings are available with multiple consumption models to support both dedicated and multi-tenant, usage-based environments with Dimension Data’s next-generation HCS-based offering available later this year.
According to Adam Foster, group executive, Communication, Dimension Data, expanding its cloud services with HCS enables unified communications to be offered through a utility-based cloud delivery model leaving clients free to focus on their IT resources more effectively.
“With Dimension Data adding Cisco’s HCS solution as part of its UC cloud offerings, our global client base will ultimately benefit from the utility cloud UC delivery model, while also offloading the complexities of ongoing UC management,” adds Eric Schoch, general manager of Cisco's Hosted Collaboration Business Unit.
