Ryder Cup tees off early for Comms-care partners
Channel support firm Comms-care recently invited a selection of their partners to experience at first hand the 2010 Ryder Cup course at Celtic Manor Resort.

Partners were welcomed into the Samuel Ryder suite; the same room the American team will be habiting for The Ryder Cup later this year. Bacon Rolls and refreshments were served to golfers as they overlooked the stunning views of the 2010 course including the challenging 18th green.
After registration it was down to business as golfers headed down to the driving range for a practice before tee off. The Ryder Cup course was in superb condition leaving no room for error. Fast greens, plenty of water hazards and cavernous bunkers made it challenging for teams to score. Not a lot of balls that started on the first tee made it back to the clubhouse but that didn’t seem to affect the golfers who were all in good spirits and looking forward to a well deserved beer.
On return to the 2010 Clubhouse golfers were treated like professionals as their clubs and shoes were taken off the buggies to be cleaned and shined up before dinner and award presentations in the Samuel Ryder suite.
With a number of very close scores being handed in, it was Andy Stubbs from Comms-care along with NetCrowd’s Steve Kirby and Trevor Rolls who were crowned winners. Scoring 84 points in a Stableford format the team were presented with trophies and Ryder Cup merchandise. Prizes were also awarded for 2nd place team, longest hole and nearest the pin.
Richard Eglon, marketing manager at Comms-care comments: “Once again all our Partners had a fantastic day. The course was thoroughly impressive and the venue meant we had a waiting list as long as your arm. Partners really enjoyed the challenge the 2010 course had to offer and the facilities are up there with the best in the world. Celtic Manor continues to deliver to the highest standards year on year and we were very pleased to be able to hold our Golf Day on the year of The Ryder Cup as were all our Partners.”
