Siemens goes forward with Sphinx
Sphinx becomes Siemens premier distributor; offers end-to-end solutions to resellers.

Siemens Enterprise Communications has signed up distributor Sphinx to its Go Forward! Global Partner programme, and will offer Siemens’ IP-based communications portfolio to its reseller base, including Siemens HiPath 3000, HiPath OpenOffice and OpenScape Office applications suite.
This agreement builds on Sphinx’s existing relationship with SEN Group, which focuses on supplying secure wired and wireless networking solutions via the Enterasys data networking portfolio. Sphinx says it is now able to build its convergence portfolio and offer an end-to-end communications solution to resellers, from networking technology to communications solution to resellers, from networking technology to IP telephony, fixed-mobile convergence and unified communications (UC) platforms.
Mark Hatton, MD at Sphinx says: “The pressure to innovate, reduce costs and become more efficient is one of the top priorities for many organisations. IP-based communications technology is one way to significantly reduce costs, by running voice and data over one network and reducing phone bills. Our partnership with Siemens builds upon our long standing relationship with Enterasys and will allow us to support our base of resellers with an increased level of communications technologies, to support a surging demand for IP telephony and ultimately unified communications.”
Leon Mangan, sales director, Indirect Channel, UK & Ireland adds: “Enterasys will continue to offer the underlying network infrastructure, while Siemens will offer communications solutions to a significantly increased base of resellers and ultimately end-users.”
