Unified Communication service provider Maintel has appointed Stuart Legg as group sales director following its acquisition of Proximity Communications in October.
Legg, who oversaw sales and marketing at Proximity, is charged with driving revenues for the extended Maintel group.
“Bringing Proximity into the fold marked a significant change in our market position, so that today Maintel has one of the largest, most comprehensive and highly skilled offerings in the market,” comments Eddie Buxton, CEO of Maintel.
“Stuart’s role, with the support of his team, is to ignite this compelling proposition with sales success as we target ambitious growth for 2015 and beyond. We believe he’s got all the attributes needed to deliver it.”
“Maintel has a great opportunity to take advantage of its expertise and services capabilities, and to complete its transformation from voice reseller to comprehensive communications service provider/systems integrator by backing up its potential with a big boost in sales,” says Legg, who adds that partnerships with the likes of Avaya, as well as increasing market demand from the enterprise, "stand us in good stead for pushing revenues into the £50-60m bracket by the end of next year.”
Maintel’s key vendors include Avaya, Mitel, Shoretel, Unify, Palo Alto Networks, Aerohive, Verint, NICE and Genesys.
