Azzurri announces Antony Vigar as head of business development
Antony Vigar to support upcoming cloud services business

Managed communications services specialist, Azzurri has re-hired Antony Vigar as head of business development to support development in both the company’s core enterprise communications customer base and its forthcoming ICON cloud and managed services offering.
Vigar (pictured) re-joins Azzurri from Vodafone, where he was sector head for the company’s media and hi-tech vertical accounts. Prior to Vodafone, Vigar spent more than seven years at Azzurri, lastly as the head of specialist solutions.
It is Vigar’s experience at both companies that prompted his re-hiring, according to Craig Wellman, Azzurri’s sales director: “The telephony and UCC marketplace is increasingly moving towards hosted and cloud solutions as the most convenient option for delivering communications services. We needed someone who understood the enterprise communications landscape implicitly to help us drive our growth in these key areas.”
Vigar’s appointment is yet another building block in Azzurri’s aggressive new business strategy for 2014, which last month saw the appointment of Richard White as head of the new Mobile Business Unit.
Vigar says that part of the decision to return to his former company was its commitment to developing a differentiated services proposition focused on delivering tangible outcomes and services, as well as the launch of its ICON cloud and managed services offerings later this year.
