Nokia Lumia 1020 arrives with 41MP PureView camera
Nokia claims to have "re-invented zoom" with the 1020.

Microsoft has unveiled its latest smartphone, with the firm finally squeezing its 41-megapixel PureView camera technology into a high-end Windows Phone.
The handset features a 4.5in Amoled WXGA (1280 x 768) display made from Gorilla Glass 3 and includes a sunlight readability mode. It's powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Nokia will also ship the device with a 2000 mAh battery.
However, the standout feature by far is the PureView camera, which packs 41-megapixels (7712 x 5360), optical stabilisation and Xenon flash for still images.
Nokia CEO Stephen Elop claimed with the Lumia 1020, Nokia has "reinvented zoom".
"With the 1020 it's easy to zoom into details that you can't see with your own eyes," he said at the launch event in New York.
"It's [also] possible to zoom out of images to reveal more details. You can go back and frame and re-frame zoom in, zoom out you can discover and rediscover stories."
The device will feature a revamped interface dubbed the Nokia Pro Camera app. Elop demonstrated on stage how the Lumia 1020 is able to zoom in to show a needle in a haystack and carry out long-exposure photos.
