Aruba appoints Exclusive Networks

Aruba Networks (NASDAQ:ARUN), specialist in next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise, has signed up Exclusive Networks as part of the firm’s new focus on security and user management, distinct from its traditional wireless infrastructure market.

The vendor hopes to engage a new channel of security-focused resellers and system integrators in a bid to capitalise on the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) trend.

“Everyone is talking about BYOD, but few are actually confronting its challenges, allowing employees and visitors to bring any device onto the corporate network,” says Jason Dance, sales director at Exclusive Networks UK, who reckons Aruba is well placed to capitalise on the trend with its ClearPass Access Management range.

“ClearPass fits into any existing or new infrastructure, and that will appeal greatly to our reseller community, many of whom we’ve helped really focus onto the BYOD opportunity. This partnership with Aruba underlines everything we’ve been saying about ‘Smarter Social Enterprises’ and complements the rest of our portfolio,” he comments.

Aruba says it wants Exclusive Networks to recruit a “select band” of resellers capable of addressing the market need around Network Access Management and Control, and driving significant sales success for the ClearPass product line specifically.

Commenting on the deal, Duncan Fisken, VP EMEA at Aruba Networks, says: “We felt [Exclusive Networks’] in-house facilities, extensive skills and great reseller relationships provide the necessary base to allow us to accelerate our traction in solving our customers’ BYOD challenges.”
