GCP's CEO and COO are now both women and named Diane

Google Cloud has announced Diane Bryant will be joining the company as COO.
Bryant was head of Intel's Data Center Group and also group president at the company. During her 15 years at Intel, she has held roles such as corporate VP and CIO and is currently a board member for United Technologies.
Diane Greene, CEO at Google Cloud, said: "Google Cloud is the most technologically advanced, most highly available, and most open cloud in the world. We are growing at an extraordinary rate as we enable businesses to become smarter with data, increase their agility, collaborate and secure their information.
"Diane's strategic acumen, technical knowledge and client focus will prove invaluable as we accelerate the scale and reach of Google Cloud."
Greene also pointed out that Bryant has worked to mentor and sponsor women in technology throughout her career.
"I am personally looking forward to working closely with Diane Bryant as we enter what promises to be a great 2018 for Google Cloud," said Greene.
HPE's CEO Meg Whitman said this week that more needs to be done to get women into STEM subjects. She underlined that women need to be able to take advantage of future employment opportunities as every company is moving to become a technology company.
