BT has signed up to Darktrace's Enterprise Immune System technology to protect the organisation from potential cyber threats -- and will also offer the security system as part of its managed services solutions.
The system delivers intelligence-based security to companies and security analysts, using advanced learning and mathematics to build behaviour profiles for devices, users and networks to determine irregularities that could be attributed to a cyber attack.

"The addition to our Assure portfolio will strengthen our ability to defend BT and our customers against advanced cyber threats. Their machine learning and mathematics are extremely powerful in detecting activity that is abnormal and will be critical to our future cyber security offerings."
BT already offers real-time analysis and threat intelligence to customers to help them understand their data environments, but the addition of Darktrace will strengthen BT's services, allowing organisations to detect threats before they become too severe to handle.

BT launched its Assure Threat Defence monitoring and mitigation service last year, letting customers and security analysts better identify and react to advanced and sophisticated cyber security threats.
