Firewall management firm AlgoSec has appointed distributor Arrow ECS, marking the vendor’s move to a full two-tier channel model in the UK.
The provider of network security policy management says it also plans to double its number of Gold reseller partners in 2013.
“From a standing start in 2010, we’ve enjoyed roughly 300 percent growth in the UK, thanks to our channel, and by partnering with Arrow ECS we expect to further accelerate that growth,” explains Paul Clark, AlgoSec’s regional director for UK, Ireland, South Africa & the Middle East. AlgoSec currently has nine VARs, of which five are Gold partners, including BT Engage, Integralis and Pentura.
“This appointment gives our channel reach a massive boost, as Arrow ECS has the security know-how and established VAR relationships to map our solutions to customer requirements. Not just at enterprise level, but also with smaller and mid-sized end-user organisations, who are struggling to manage security on their increasingly complex networks.”
“We’re seeing increasing demand from partners and customers who want to automate security policy management and enhance protection of systems and data – especially across mixed estates using products from multiple vendors,” says Nick Bannister, divisional director of security for Arrow ECS.
“They also open up a range of managed service options, making Algosec a valuable addition to our overall security offering. Its solutions can be easily added into our partner portfolios and give our partners a strong upselling opportunity, and the ability to differentiate themselves, particularly in the firewall market.”
In February this year, AlgoSec announced the latest version of the AlgoSec Security Management Suite, which combines AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer, AlgoSec FireFlow and AlgoSec BusinessFlow to streamline firewall operations and change management, ensure compliance and application availability, and deliver a tighter security policy that offers better protection against cyber-attacks.
