Cloud Distribution teams up with Vectra Networks

Jigsaw puzzle pieces representing digital collaboration

Distributor Cloud Distribution has reached an agreement with Vectra Networks to provide the vendor’s security products to the channel.

Cloud Distribution says it will help grow the Silicon Valley firm’s presence in the UK and forge relationships with new partners to drive revenue growth.

Partners will have access to marketing support via Cloud's Altitude Marketing Services to simplify and accelerate their go to market, sales pipeline and new revenue, the distie says in a statement.

Initially, the distributor plans to recruit up to seven specialised partners, to access large organisations such as FTSE500 who have significant IP and protected data, by demonstrating how Vectra can provide automated real-time insights into advanced persistent threats to help organisations stop an attack.

“Organisations are realising prevention is not enough to combat cyber attacks and they need to detect and anticipate attacks in real time. We're seeing tremendous demand in the UK for our automated threat management security solution,” says Gerard Bauer, VP EMEA for Vectra.

“Cloud Distribution has a proven track record of bringing innovative technology to market and an impressive portfolio of complementary security vendors. The support, services and tools they offer will propel Vectra forward in the UK security market,” he adds.

According to Forrester Research, many security and risk professionals are not even aware when the enterprise has already suffered a breach. “This is commonly caused by underinvestment in network analysis and visibility (NAV) and endpoint visibility and control (EVC) tools that can detect abnormal patterns and user behavior in their networks and IT environment,” the analyst firm says.

“Vectra's ability to continuously and actively identify abnormal network behaviour to stop an attack fill this critical gap,” says Adam Davison, product and marketing director, Cloud Distribution.

“Detecting targeted and insider threats is a strategic market opportunity we'll help partners address. Vectra is a perfect complementary solution for channel partners currently offering remediation technology, or who run a SOC for a customer or as a managed service.”
