Cloud Distribution strengthens security range with Check Point

Mobile security

Cloud Distribution has today announced an agreement with Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP) to distribute the security vendor’s mobile and threat detection range of products.

Cloud Distribution will look to expand the market for Check Point by forging relationships with mobile security partners as well as engaging with the vendor’s existing channel. It adds that the agreement will enhance its existing mobile security portfolio, which includes the likes of Aerohive, Cisco Meraki, OpenDNS, Netskope and Blackberry.

Check Point now has UK distribution agreements in place with Cloud Distribution, Avnet, Arrow, Wick Hill and Westcon.

According to ESG research, 47 percent of organisations have experienced security breaches as a result of a compromised mobile device.

“The mobile market is booming with everyone having a smartphone, laptop, or tablet, but it's not as secure as it could, and should be. As a result, we’re seeing many enterprises looking beyond mobile device management (MDM) solutions to gain additional mobile security functionality – we believe Checkpoint’s Mobile Threat Prevention solution is the perfect fit for these organisations,” says Adam Davison, product and marketing director, Cloud Distribution.

“Unlike traditional distributors, we are passionate about raising awareness of new technology and are proactive in creating new markets and revenue streams by offering resellers access to our partner sales enablement services and marketing resources.”

“With the continued rise in security breaches, we're experiencing tremendous demand for our Mobile Threat Prevention solution as enterprises know they need to act quickly to secure mobile devices from threats and secure data and documents on mobile devices,” adds Michael Wakefield, head of channel sales, UK and Ireland at Check Point.

“Cloud Distribution match our ambition to expand our footprint in the UK and based on their proven track record, we have every confidence they will succeed. They have extensive knowledge of the mobile security market with complementary vendors and products in their portfolio and a renowned ability to support partners to create end user opportunities.”

Check Point says it is also investing in a dedicated overlay specialist sales and SE team to assist partners with opportunities for the Mobile Threat Prevention offering.
