Fortinet overhauls international partner programme
Partners offered new certifications and status to increase expertise

Fortinet (NASDAQ:FTNT) has revamped its FortiPartner Programme for its EMEA and APAC partners to include new certification and re-aligned partner levels.
The security firm claimed the overhaul would help the channel build expertise on Fortinet’s range of network security products, extend service offerings and expand into new areas of the security market.
Fortinet said the programme would help partners build their expertise in increasingly complex network security area.
The new Network Security Expert Certification (NSE) programme, which has eight levels of certification, incorporates newly created content not covered in FCNSA and FCNSP certifications, and over time will eventually replace the existing certifications. All Fortinet’s online courses are free to existing channel partners.
Fortinet has also changed its partner levels in order to provide a status that partners can use globally. There are now four levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Authorised.
In addition to the NSE and new partner levels, Fortinet has invested in marketing support across its international channels, including locally-aligned content and multi-lingual telemarketing teams to provide qualified leads for extending sales reach and profitability for partners.
“The contribution of our channel in supporting our growth is paramount,” says Anne Bourgeois, director of international channel at Fortinet. “This is why we’re committed to constantly improving our partner programme strategy in order to foster the business opportunities of all our resellers and distributors.”
