Vigil named UK distributor for Egress
Security distributor to build channel for email & file encryption vendor

Security distributor Vigil Software has signed a three year agreement with Egress Software to help grow its channel programme in the UK, with a target of recruiting 20 new partners.
A key objective says Vigil, is to build a strong sales pipeline for Egress’ email encryption and secure data transfer software – particularly focusing on the UK public sector and other organisations looking to comply with the data protection act.
Vigil will provide a deal registration programme, promising partners “good margins”. It’s also offering a range of new sales and marketing initiatives and 24/7 service support as part of its partner programme.
Alex Teh, commercial director of Vigil Software, says he’s already seeing interest in Egress’ encryption software, with three “significant deals” completed. “As more employees work remotely, there is a serious requirement for collaborative security solutions that can measure up to advanced threats,” he comments.
Adds Tony Pepper, CEO & co-founder of Egress Software Technologies: “We’re excited about working alongside Vigil and see this as a great opportunity to develop our rapidly expanding customer base.”
