Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) specialist Trustwave has named Vigil Software as its second UK distributor.
Vigil, which joins Trustwave’s Bucks-based disti Delaney Secure, says it will focus on building a strong channel programme with its existing partners, capitalising on demand from organisations looking to achieve compliance with regulations such as PCI DSS and the CESG Good Practice Guides.
“The United Kingdom with its strict data privacy and various compliance regulations is a particularly important market for Trustwave,” comments Brooks Wallace, Trustwave’s managing director for EMEA. “Selecting Vigil Software as one of our UK distributors is a strategic step as we expand our channel focus to address a wider range of vertical markets with our information security solutions.”
The distributor will focus initially on expanding the channel for Trustwave SIEM solutions with a longer term focus on additional Trustwave security solutions, including its Network Access Control and Web Application Firewalls.
Trustwave’s recently announced it was to acquire M86 Security – another of Vigil’s vendors.
Murray Pearce, director, Vigil Software, says this means the distributor can better to serve its customers “by providing a more comprehensive solution.”
He adds that the “relationship with Trustwave is an ideal fit both from a commercial and technological standpoint.”
He continues: “We will focus on translating the technical services with the go-to-market expertise that we have developed in the SIEM market to our partners, as well as building opportunities for the broader portfolio of Trustwave solutions...
