F5 Networks recruits David Helfer as EMEA SVP sales
Helfer's focus will be on building the company's cloud and security
F5 Networks has appointed industry veteran David Helfer as its EMEA senior vice president of sales, following a successful two years as SVP of worldwide partners and cloud sales.
Helfer will be responsible for building F5 Networks' security and cloud businesses, working closely with channel executives to expand the company's indirect sales channels across the region.
“David is an accomplished leader with a strong global track record," said Chad Whalen, executive vice president of worldwide sales at F5 Networks. "With his customer development experience and deep commercial pedigree, we look forward to David continuing to accelerate F5’s application security and cloud leadership across EMEA."
Before joining F5 in 2016, Helfer worked at cyber security firm Lookout as vice president of worldwide channels and direct sales manager for Asia Pacific. He has also held positions at Juniper Networks as head of worldwide channels, vice president of commercial and inside sales and vice president of EMEA partners and alliances after joining the company from UUNET as global sales director.
“I am delighted to head EMEA Sales and strengthen F5’s leadership position in the application security and cloud markets,” added Helfer. “F5 is uniquely positioned to help EMEA businesses cope with a rapidly shifting threat landscape, soaring data privacy concerns and emerging, cloud-driven business imperatives.
"I have an exceptionally talented team of technical experts and sales professionals committed to growing our customer and partner relationships across the region. We now need to take initiatives to the next level by further enhancing and securing our customers’ apps – irrespective of where they reside.”
