SES GS wins US government’s TROJAN contract

SES Government Solutions (SES GS) has won the follow-on TROJAN contract to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).

The five-year deal will see SES leverage its global satellite services to aid the Army’s premier intelligence network.

SES GS pocketed the maiden TROJAN contract in 1998, following which the SES subsidiary facilitated satellite bandwidth, systems engineering support, operations, and maintenance of the SATCOM network globally.

Through the extended deal, SES GS will continue to enhance the Army’s operational intelligence capabilities, in addition to increasing combat readiness.

"We’ve had the honor of supporting INSCOM’s efforts for over two decades on the TROJAN Network and it is a great privilege to continue serving their mission," said Pete Hoene, president and CEO of SES GS.

"We look forward to providing advanced SATCOM capabilities and delivering secure and reliable multi-band solutions in support of Army military intelligence missions worldwide in the coming years," added Hoene.

Earlier this month, the US government ascribed Russian state-sponsored cyber actors for their role in the SATCOM networks’ breach.

“The United States assesses Russia launched cyberattacks in late February against commercial satellite communications networks to disrupt Ukrainian command and control during the Russia invasion, and those actions had spillover impacts into other European countries,” according to a blog post by CISA.
