Flexxible IT has launched new Citrix-ready virtual workspaces to offer businesses the flexibility of Citrix Cloud, and XenServer, on-premise.

Flexxible|SmartWorkspaces for Citrix Cloud is an on-site layer available in two storage options - fast all-flash storage integrated into the appliance or using a user’s existing network storage, which is the cheaper option.

“The Flexxible|SmartWorkspaces for Citrix Cloud solution provides enterprises with an effective option for utilising reliable and proven Citrix Cloud and XenServer technology," said Nabeel Youakim, vice president of products and strategic partners at Citrix.

"As part of the Citrix HCI Ready Workspace Appliance program, it lets users easily scale while still taking advantage of their existing storage infrastructure.”

Flexxible|SmartWorkspaces for Citrix Cloud ships with Flexxible|Hawk, providing multi-tenant and multi-environment cloud management hosted on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform. Offered as an extension to Citrix Studio, Flexxible|Hawk also means operations teams can manage and schedule updates natively.

“More than 300,000 users have come to rely on Flexxible IT as a reliable technology partner for using Citrix technology in deployments that can range from just a few users to a few thousand users," added Sebastian Prat, CEO of Flexxible IT.

"The new Flexxible|SmartWorkspaces for Citrix Cloud extends our commitment to the Citrix Cloud strategy, and it gives our customers and channel partners another option to consume reliable, proven Citrix Cloud technology.”

Flexxible|SmartWorkspaces for Citrix Cloud is simple to set up if businesses wish to use it alongside Citrix XenServer, with automated configuration and it's simple to scale if demand dictates a boost in capacity.
