Memblaze partners with Avnet to expand EMEA reach
Chinese storage vendor’s EMEA-push given boost by Avnet agreement

Flash storage vendor Memblaze Technology has signed an EMEA-wide distribution agreement with the Global Computing Components division of Avnet (NYSE: AVT).
The partnership will see Avnet distribute and support the full PBlaze range of products from Memblaze, as well as deliver implementation and consultancy services.
The Chinese vendor says it chose Avnet for the distie’s “proven expertise and association with the enterprise space.”
“The demand for flash storage products continues to grow as customers realise that spinning disks are too slow for many of today’s business-critical applications; this agreement will open the door to new opportunities for both Memblaze and Avnet,” says Ron MacLeod, vice president EMEA business development at Memblaze.
“Memblaze has some good products in a high-growth area that offers great opportunities,” comments David House, sales director at Avnet Global Computing Components EMEA.
“With these products in our portfolio, we can help meet the need for industry-leading performance of databases, virtualised infrastructures, big data applications and other environments where speed is mission critical. In addition, thanks to our existing reseller base, Memblaze will benefit from an extensive, ready-made, indirect sales force that will help it achieve its market share objectives.”
