Specialist in least privilege management for corporate desktops, Avecto Ltd, has attained Gold Certified status in the Microsoft Partner Programme with a competency in ISV/Software Solutions.
As part of the verification process the Manchester-based firm’s Privilege Guard product was awarded the ‘Compatible with Windows 7’ logo, after passing Microsoft-designed tests for compatibility and reliability on both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7. Privilege Guard enables organisations to adopt the principle of least privilege. It is no longer necessary to assign admin rights to users, as these rights can now be assigned dynamically to applications, tasks and scripts. The product enables users to log on with minimal rights and empowers them to perform their day to day role, without compromising the integrity and security of the standard desktop build.
