Centrix Software has appointed DNS Arrow as its first distributor in the UK. Under the agreement, DNS Arrow will provide support for Centrix Software’s flagship application aggregation and publishing platform Centrix WorkSpace.

Centrix says it is looking to recruit up to 20 partners over the course of 12 months, and DNS Arrow, as sole distributor, will play a key role in the development of the company’s UK channel, providing marketing, sales and presales support and educational courses to resellers.

The firm says WorkSpace provides an add-on sales opportunity for enterprise resellers and dovetails into existing sales and technical skills in the channel. Lewis Gee, vice president of global sales at Centrix Software, comments: “Working together we will help infrastructure resellers, such as those providing core offerings from VMware, Citrix and Microsoft, provide additional value to customer organisations.”

Centrix WorkSpace provides a virtual desktop interface that allows users to access applications, data and services published by IT departments using myriad application deployment models such as virtualisation, web services and local desktop applications.

“Centrix WorkSpace complements not only our virtualisation solution areas but also our enterprise software partnerships. It delivers a clear value proposition to organisations that are deploying applications across a variety of different computing models and technologies. For enterprise resellers, it presents a rare opportunity to offer a highly strategic solution that seamlessly fits with their existing skills,” says Yuri Pasea, divisional director of virtualisation at DNS Arrow.

“The immediate returns that can be delivered by Centrix WorkSpace for users are compelling in the current climate, and the ability it provides to reduce risk and accelerate virtualisation adoption will clearly resonate with IT decision-makers.”
