Novell has named Dan Veitkus as its new VP and general manager, Partners for EMEA. Veitkus will be responsible for managing channel and partner sales and operations across EMEA with a focus on accelerating Novell’s channel transformation. He will join the executive management team for Novell's EMEA operations, reporting to Javier Colado, president, Novell EMEA.

“Dan has a tremendous track record of executing against strategic and operational channel initiatives that are important to Novell and our partners,” says Colado. “This EMEA leadership role is critical to Novell's continued growth and success and I'm confident Dan is the right leader to drive growth and improved productivity in cooperation with our partners across the EMEA region.”

Veitkus is no stranger to the Novell ecosystem of partners and distribution channels. Since 2006, Dan has served as VP, global field operations with accountability for all field sales and marketing operations. Previously, Veitkus managed the global training and certification business for the firm, which included responsibility for Novell's authorised training and testing partners.

“A strong ecosystem of trusted partners has been a part of Novell's distinction in the marketplace in the past,” says Veitkus, “And we are well positioned to help our partners profitably grow their businesses once again as our preferred route to market for serving customers across EMEA.”
