Parallels signs reseller agreement with Flexiant
Parallels to act as global reseller for Flexiant’s Cloud Orchestrator solution
Software automation vendor Parallels has announced a deal with Flexiant to act as a global reseller for the Glasgow firm’s Cloud Orchestrator solution for offering differentiated IaaS services.
The agreement – announced at Parallels Summit 2014 in New Orleans – offers Parallels’ providers, carriers and multi-system operators (MSOs) access to a choice of cloud management platforms and virtualisation technologies.
When the Flexiant APS Package is deployed with Parallels Automation, FCO provides compute, network and storage orchestration, end user self-service control panels, APIs and support for a full range of virtualisation technologies including Parallels Cloud Server.
Significantly, it allows hosting companies, service providers and telcos to design and launch commercial IaaS and other related cloud services in days or weeks, rather than months and years.
The global reseller agreement represents a massive increase in market reach, explains Flexiant CEO, George Knox. “Parallels has an international sales organisation and over 10,000 service provider partners,” he comments.
“2013 was all about acquiring customers in multiple geographies for Flexiant. 2014 is about rapidly increasing our reach and volume of customers. That’s where partnerships with Parallels, Dell and Arrow all move us forward so we can serve more customers in more markets,” he adds.
In the UK Colt Ceano (ThinkGrid Ceano in the US) uses Flexiant’s cloud orchestration solution to manage its virtualisation platform, allowing it to support SMEs through its network of resellers.

“This enables its resellers and their customers to deploy cloud services and infrastructure easily,” says Knox.
