Canon UK has teamed up with Platinum Partner IT@Spectrum to set up a new Canon Business Centre in the North East of England, as the imaging solutions firm reinforces its commitment to the channel.

Based in Gateshead, the hub will specialise in data management solutions alongside traditional print and document services to help businesses in the region automate and streamline office processes.

It will also advise local companies on increasing operational efficiency, offering expertise on reducing operating costs, upgrading security, improving productivity levels and more, Canon explained.

"In the race to digital transformation, businesses are looking for a technology partner that can offer best-in-class expertise and innovative solutions to stay ahead of the curve," commented James Pittick, director of B2B Indirect Sales at Canon UK.

"By launching the Canon Business Centre North East with IT@Spectrum, customers in the region can access the products they need to drive efficiencies, cut costs, and strengthen their offering at a local level.

"This move is a key element of our focus on Partners and highlights our commitment to growing our B2B channel business."

Canon UK's new North East base marks the latest development in its 37-year-strong relationship with managed print services firm IT@Spectrum.

To help support both the launch and local businesses, IT@Spectrum has recruited a new regional director, a head of Digital Sales, and a head of Digital Transformation as it looks to bolster local customer transformation in the North East region.

"Our local expertise will offer businesses in the region unrivalled levels of support, as well as access to products from a global brand renowned for its innovation,” said Rob Cavill, IT@Spectrum Managing Director. “Our new base in Gateshead means customers will be in a great position to advance their digital transformation objectives.

"We’re determined to continue to support businesses in the region and demonstrate how we can help them diversify their offering, or strengthen their services, not only throughout the pandemic but beyond."
