Crayon UK recruits Roger Perton as Channel Sales Director
Perton will launch a Partner Academy with better incentives for organisations and their salespeople
Roger Perton has joined Crayon UK as channel sales director, tasked with growing the company's channel business, which will begin with the launch of a new Partner Academy.
"Whilst, it’s clearly still early days for me to go into great detail about my plans, I can say that we will be looking to announce a fresh and innovative Partner Academy," Perton said. "This is for both existing and new partners and designed to increase SOW within their customer base, by utilising Crayon’s unique propositions as part of their own portfolio of services, as well as the normal day-to-day license purchases they need."
He added that the reinvigorated programme will include new incentives for the organisations themselves and salespeople at an individual level.
Perton will also introduce new training programmes and a networking initiative to help partners bring in new business and increase profitability.
“I am also looking at which partners we can work with on a reciprocal level to help them benefit from all the infrastructure and cloud opportunities we come across when working within the world of software optimisation and technology compliance," he added.
Perton was previously OEM business director at OSCL, where he gained experience motivating a team, which ultimately led to them exceeding targets. Before this, he spent 14 years at IBM, where Perton was responsible for growing commercial sales and building relationships with team mates, customers and stakeholders.
“Since joining Crayon UK, one of my first observations was the need to drive our UK Channel business," Crayon's UK country manager, Richard Lockey, said. "This meant finding the right leader to contribute to the overall growth strategy and oversee the sales function.
