Puppet appoints Marianne Calder as MD & VP of EMEA

Marianne Calder

Cisco executive Marianne Calder has been appointed managing director and vice president of EMEA at Puppet, where she will lead the company's customer strategy including growing its sales, marketing, and customer success throughout EMEA.

It comes at a time of growth for the company, which has recently set its sights on growing its business in the region.

Puppet will also expand its London HQ to support Calder's role, doubling its EMEA workforce to drive increased growth.

“I joined Puppet for the huge opportunity in front of us. For companies to thrive in the next decade, they need to be able to transform their business to meet the demands of today’s software-driven world,” said Calder.

“Puppet is the cornerstone for making this transformation happen. I’m excited for the opportunity to lead Puppet’s global expansion and bring the transformative power of Puppet to even more organizations by building a highly collaborative team and a robust partner ecosystem.”

Calder was previously managing director of collaboration sales at Cisco, where she led the sales and architecture strategy. She spent 21 years at the tech company, helping to transform its EMEAR inside sales organisation and building its global accounts programme.

“Our vision is to enable every organisation around the world to leverage software automation as a means of driving new innovation in the marketplace, quickly and confidently,” said Sanjay Mirchandani, CEO of Puppet.

“We already have a large customer presence in the region - including three of the five largest banks in Europe, the largest telecoms, and some of the most recognisable brands - but we’re just getting started. By adding Marianne to our talented executive team, we’re able to aggressively devote more resources towards scaling our international presence so we can realize our vision globally.”
