Rackspace announces Microsoft Office 365 managed services
The new offering will be added to the company's Cloud Office at Rackspace portfolio

Rackspace has announced the launch of Fanatical Support for Office 365 and Rackspace Managed Services for Office 365, two new managed service additions for its Cloud Office at Rackspace portfolio.
Fanatical Support for Office 365 offers tier-one support for all six Office 365 business and enterprise plans from Office 365 Business Essentials to Enterprise E3. It will give customers free Microsoft Exchange migration and Fanatical Support from a team of Cloud Office specialists to ensure they are getting the most from their suite.
Rackspace Managed Services for Office 365 is the premium plan and offers a higher level of support and advisory services for mid-market and enterprise-level customers.
It includes help with Exchange migrations, onboarding and deployment assistance and tier-one troubleshooting. Rackspace Managed Services for Office 365 also bundles on-demand advice from a dedicated account team to help set up Office 365 for each individual customer, ensuring they have the correct features for their use case.
Paul Bolt, VP of technology practice areas at Rackspace International said: "This is a significant step forward for Rackspace International as it’s the first time we have provided our industry renowned support for an application that’s hosted in another company’s data centres. It shows that we are truly committed to supporting open and standard technology in this emerging section of the market and the real value that our customers see in having their clouds managed for them.”
John Engates, chief technology officer at Rackspace added that collaboration demands from customers mean they need a trusted advisor to help them manage new services.
"The launch of Rackspace support for Office 365 furthers Rackspace's commitment to deliver the workplace collaboration and productivity tools that customers need with the added value of Fanatical Support, so customers can avoid the pain of managing these tools themselves," he said.
