During the event - held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 14 to 18 -  Huawei emphasized its commitment to accelerating the digital transformation of industries through groundbreaking product launches, collaborative partnerships, and a focus on building AI-ready ICT infrastructure.

Huawei’s vision for industrial digitalization

With the theme ‘Accelerate Industrial Digitalization and Intelligence’ Huawei focused on empowering industries like manufacturing, finance, transportation, public utilities, and healthcare to embrace digital transformation.

Li Peng, corporate senior vice president of ICT sales and service at Huawei, highlighted Huawei’s strategy, saying: "We’re combining our strengths in networking, storage, computing, cloud, and energy, and we’re working with partners to build new digital and intelligent infrastructure."

This commitment is evident through Huawei’s launch of joint solutions with partners for ten industries, including solutions for smart manufacturing, digital finance, smart transportation, energy efficiency in oil & gas, and healthcare transformation.

In addition, Huawei released the Amplifying Industrial Digitalization and Intelligence Practice White Paper, which includes over 100 success stories across 20 industries. These case studies serve as valuable references for industries seeking to accelerate their digital journeys, providing insights into best practices and successful implementations. Huawei's focus on practical, scalable solutions is designed to help industries address their most pressing challenges, ensuring long-term growth and resilience in a competitive digital landscape.

Key product and solution launches

Huawei introduced more than 30 new marketable products and upgraded scenario-based solutions to boost the competitiveness of its distribution business. The Huawei eKit, a flagship launch, offers lightweight and easy-to-use products designed for seamless integration, providing significant support for SMEs undergoing digital transformation.

Leo Chen, corporate senior vice president and president of enterprise sales at Huawei underscored the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance digital transformation across various sectors: "We will continue to leverage our full-stack capabilities in connectivity, storage, computing, and cloud to assist industries in building AI-ready ICT infrastructure," he said, adding that these products and solutions help industries modernize, enabling a leap in productivity while addressing their unique needs.

Partnerships and ecosystem building

A core part of Huawei's strategy is building strong industry partnerships and fostering a collaborative ecosystem. During Gitex, Huawei emphasized the importance of joint efforts to drive innovation, particularly in collaboration with over 30 solution partners in the UAE. Li Peng added: "Together with over 30 solution partners in the UAE, we have developed more than 20 solutions to meet local industry needs." This demonstrates Huawei’s commitment to nurturing a healthy, open, and mutually beneficial partner ecosystem.

Huawei's partner ecosystem extends beyond local collaborations. The company has established 14 OpenLabs globally to support joint innovation with local solution partners, providing an environment where partners can co-create, and test new technologies tailored to specific market requirements. These OpenLabs are instrumental in developing solutions that address the unique challenges faced by various industries, ensuring that the latest innovations are both practical and impactful.

In addition, Huawei introduced the new Global Digital Index (GDI), developed in partnership with IDC, which provides quantitative evaluation indicators for digital transformation. The GDI aims to help organizations benchmark their progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective strategies for their digital journeys, further demonstrating Huawei’s dedication to supporting industries through actionable insights and data-driven transformation.

Global impact: accelerating the future with AI and 5G

Huawei also highlighted the role of AI and 5G in shaping the future of digital transformation. Chen noted that AI and 5G-A are among the next-gen technologies driving the fourth industrial revolution “which will lead to a significant leap in productivity.”

By providing innovative solutions across multiple industries, Huawei is making strides in advancing the adoption of these technologies, enabling businesses to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Huawei's AI capabilities are designed to support industries in automating processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and making data-driven decisions. Integrating AI and 5G-A technologies is helping to build intelligent networks that can adapt and respond to changing business needs in real time, ultimately enhancing productivity and fostering innovation.

In the manufacturing sector, Huawei's AI-powered solutions transform production lines by optimizing workflows and reducing operational costs. Similarly, in healthcare, AI-driven technologies are being leveraged to improve diagnostics, streamline patient care, and enhance overall medical services.

Huawei's 5G solutions are also making a significant impact by providing ultra-fast connectivity, low latency, and high reliability, which are essential for supporting mission-critical applications. The company is actively working with partners to implement 5G technologies in areas such as smart cities, autonomous vehicles, and remote healthcare, driving a new wave of industrial and societal transformation.
