Vaughn Highfield is a seasoned tech journalist and content strategist with over 10 years experience in the publishing industry.
Writing in a freelance capacity for ITPro, Vaughn has covered a range of topics spanning cyber security, cryptocurrency, and skills development.
From 2015 to 2018, he served as a senior staff writer at Alphr before assuming the role of associate editor. In his role as associate editor, Vaughn was responsible for a range of duties, including the publication’s long-term content strategy, events coverage, editorial commissions, and curation of the Alphr newsletter.
Prior to this, he held in-house roles at PCPro at Terrapinn Digital in addition to freelance content strategy and marketing activities for The Gamers Hub and Magdala Media.
Vaughn played a key role in establishing the marketing and branding for the Games Expo Scotland in 2014.
At present, Vaughn serves as a content strategist at Google Play, where he is responsible for leading the organization’s global content strategy and editorial for games.
Describing himself as a ‘wordsmith and UX wizard’, Vaughn graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Modern History.
